Put Our Historians to Work—in 2027
All Research Request will be put on hold till the end of the calendar year.
This has been an unprecedented year for the Altadena Historical Society, especially as it relates to research requests. Shortly after the Eaton Fire we had people from all over the world, from every major news source, architecture firms, filmmakers, current and past homeowners, and students from major universities seeking research on Altadena and its homes. We were averaging about 15 to 20 requests per week for the last 78 weeks.
We truly appreciate your patience as we slowly make our way through the unprecedented number of requests.
From September 2026 through December 2026 we will work on the remaining home biographies and general reference from the Eaton Fire year (2025) along with all research requests that came in 2026 from Jan-Aug.
We will reopen our research requests in January 2027 and ask that you submit your request at that time.
