Unrestricted Bequest for General Purposes
I give to Altadena Historical Society, a not-for-profit California organization, located at 730 E. Altadena Drive, Altadena, CA 91001, for its general purposes $ _____, to be used for such purpose as the Board of Directors deems to be in the best interest of the Society.
Restricted Bequests:
I give to Altadena Historical Society, a not-for-profit California organization located at 730 E. Altadena Drive, Altadena, CA 91001 [amount of money or name and description of property to be bequeathed], to establish the [name of fund and/or description or how the property/money is to be used/spent] which shall be used to financially support [identify cause such as archives, education, procurement, etc.].
Bequest Real Property
I give to Altadena Historical Society, a not-for-profit California organization located at 730 E. Altadena Drive, Altadena, CA 91001 certain real property situated in [describe property]: _______________ together with all the improvements thereof, to be used for such purpose as the Board of Directors deems to be in the best interest of the Society.
A will is essential if you wish to make a gift to AHS through your estate. You should consult your attorney whether making a will for the first time or revising an existing one.
A gift to AHS is not subject to federal or state estate or inheritance taxes.
